Our Youth Ministry has been involved in several activities including the Mini-Masters Golf Tournament, Teens Encounter Christ Weekends, Atlanta Hunger Walk, Lenten drama and the Easter Pancake Breakfast.

During Summer 2009 our Senior High Youth went on a mission trip to Mobile, AL where we enjoyed worship with Pastor K at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  We worked with an inner-city VBS as well as helped Pastor Jerry in construction of a Youth Center where we built a handicap ramp, put siding on the building and painted it.  We also enjoyed two days of fun and relaxation in Gulf Shores, AL where we stayed on the river and had our own private pond to enjoy.  The junior and senior high youth then sent care packages to Jeremy Forbes and his fellow troops in Afghanistan and had a great time at Stone Mountain and Six Flags before our big fall kick off!  Our Youth Group Council for 2009-2010 is:  President—Joe Anderson, Vice President—Rachel Packiam, Secretary—Maddie Voss, Treasurer—Brandon Lico.

Looking forward into 2010, our plans include activities such as the Teens Encounter Christ Retreat Weekends, Cosmic Bowling, and Easter Breakfast.  We hope to head to west Georgia to Lutheranch for a long weekend to do some service work on the ranch, as well as talk out ideas for our 2011 Senior High mission trip.
