In November 2009, the Evangelism Ministry was recreated with an initial focus on building an intentional visitor greeting program.  This intentional greeting focus will be especially important to ensure that we do not let our excitement for the new building overshadow our responsibility to demonstrate care and concern for each visitor.  Our initial plans for building the visitor greeter program revolve around providing informational materials about Prince of Peace and the Lutheran Church, establishing greeting procedures, developing methods to identify visitors, training visitor greeters and encouraging the congregation to continuously greet visitors.

In addition to the focus on an intentional greeting program, our committee must determine how to create an Evangelism outreach that will stretch beyond the individuals that are entering our church to those individuals outside that are not yet looking for a church.  One of our key responsibilities, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, will be the creation of an Evangelism Ministry Vision.  The initial vision should consider both short and long term factors, be specific enough to hold us accountable, and be broad enough to encompass the growth and changes within Prince of Peace.
