Youth Representative [ex officio]
In an effort to include the perspective of our youth in the decisions made, the council has invited the youth to elect a representative to attend the council meeting. This representative may change over time – depending on availability, so that person is not named here. Please contact Ed or Andrea for the name of the current Youth Representative.
About the Council: The Prince of Peace Church Council is made up of 8 POP members that are elected by the congregation at the annual Meeting in January. Each year the elected council members vote to select officers; in addition, council members determine which members will serve as liaisons to the various ministries. A nominating committee identifies candidates to replace members coming off the council; the length of council service terms is specified at the time the member is selected as a candidate for election by the congregation. Most terms are for 3 years. Pr. Tom Kenny [Pastor] and Tom Buchanan [Director of Education and Youth] serve as ex officio members.
